Chennai International Airport is situated at a distance of 7 km towards the south of the city. The third largest international and busiest airport in the country after the respective airports of Delhi and Mumbai, it claims to be one of the first airports in India. It has two terminals: old and new terminal. The old terminal is now used by Blue Dart, an Indian company for its cargo operations. The new terminal, established at Pallavaram strives to serve the passengers coming to Chennai. The passenger terminal complex consists of two terminals: the domestic one known as Kamaraj Terminal and the international one known as Anna Terminal.
