The nearest railway station is Chidambaram from where Pichavaram can be reached by road.

Covelong
The pristine beach of Covelong village offers a wide range of water sports activities and it is a perfect getaway from the mundane routine of daily life. This fishing village is situated 40 kilometres south of Chennai, on the East Coast Road on the way to Mahabalipuram.
